V-Machine

The V-Machine is a compact VST/VSTi hardware playback module built for performance keyboard players and DJ's. It is one little beast that can't be underestimated once loaded up with your favorite VST instrument and effect plug-ins. Take your plug-ins on the road or into the studio and access them live without a computer. Multiple plug-ins can be pre-loaded into bank/preset memories for immediate access. Combine VST and VSTi plug-ins into chains, splits, and layers to create extremely rich and unique sounds. V-Machine has been named one of Australia’s 100 most innovative products, in one of the largest and most audacious innovative awards of its kind in Australia – the ‘SMART 100 Awards’.

Taking on the major toy companies of the world, digiBLAST is the first portable entertainment system on the market offering video, gaming, MP3 and digital photo capability all within the one handheld device. Grey’s major challenge was to bring digiBLAST to market at a price that beats competition globally. InFusion

InFusion is the world’s first portable compact internet radio device. Providing access to streaming media content (e.g. radio, music) via Wi-Fi internet access points, InFusion allows users to tune into any internet available radio station, anywhere in the world without the need of a PC. InFusion includes other features such as recording of streaming content, removal storage to provide a multi-format MP3 player, FM receiver and internal rechargeable batteries.

Strategic Partnership with Hewlett Packard

Grey designed and supplied equipment and tools to HP’s development teams world-wide. Throughout this valuable partnership Grey has been a member of the design team, providing HP with hardware and software expertise, as well as production support for a range of PDA’s and sophisticated calculators.

Development and Production Test Systems

Grey has developed critical design validation and production test systems for many products designed and developed by Robert Bosch Australia. Providing both hardware and software for these test systems, Grey plays a key role in preparing these products for market.

Hang Dog

Floorbot

Floorbot is an autonomous vacuum cleaning robot. Completely wireless, Floorbot’s Autonomous Robotic Navigation Algorithm (ARNA) moves the unit around the room. Safety features include built-in sensors that react to obstacles such as stairs, drops or if the unit has been jammed.

Deaflympic Torch

The 20th summer Deaflympic Games held in Melbourne in January 2005 will see the first ever Deaflympic Torch Relay. The games commence with the spectacular arrival and lighting of the official Deaflympic Torch and flag. It was important to design and develop a Torch suitable for this occasion.

Sound and Music Patch Bay

Grey utilised the latest in hardware and software capabilities to develop the UPM88, a fully electronic patch bay for recording studios. Meeting stringent professional recording studio standards the UPM88 replaces the need for the messy and time-consuming patch bay that has been used in music studios to date. The UPM88 has been fully tested and rated as the lowest distortion electronic patch bay on the market.

Barbot

Barbot is an eye catching, promotional device used to promote major brands within a bar environment. A small, wireless device, Barbot displays promotional messages on its in-built display window, and also detects spillages on a bar top then mops up with a built-in sponge mechanism. It comes complete with its own docking station where it retreats to self clean and prepare for its next spill.
